ORANGE
The color orange radiates warmth and happiness. It brings in elements from the yellow and the red to create a balance from the strength of red and the liveliness from yellow. It is a optimistic colour that radiates good spirit. Orange promotes a sense of general wellness and emotional energy that should be shared, such as compassion, passion, and warmth. Orange will help a person recover from disappointments, a wounded heart, or a blow to one’s pride.
In Europe and America, surveys show that orange is the colour most associated with amusement, the unconventional, extroverts, warmth, fire, energy, activity, danger, taste and aroma. It is the national colour of the Netherlands and the House of Orange. In ancient times Orange pigment came from a mineral known as orpiment. Ancient Egypt artists used an orange mineral pigment called realgar.
Portuguese merchants were the first to bring in orange trees to Europe from Asia in the late 15th and early 16th century.
The Sanskrit word naranga, also came with it ,which gradually became part of several European languages: "naranja" in Spanish, "laranja" in Portuguese, and "orange" in English.
