As the name suggests, The Colour Workshop (TCW) was primarily designed for exploring colour experiments. It’s a space for hands on research and colour application experimentation by collaborating with individuals, clients and design studios. Over the last decade we have evolved to specialize in decoding diverse dimensions of colour including its cognition, semiotics, and relation with culture & human behavior.
With our work highly pivotal around intangibles and at the convergence of art and design, the end outputs are mainly in forms of colour trend predictions and design translations with influential industry applications. We in short, love all things emotions, art and experiences.
TCW takes keen interest in three intrinsically interwoven functions for color repository - research, industry application and education. It is a space for collective comprehension from diverse colour knowledge sources and self initiated, academic and industry projects to build a one of its kind colour knowledge treasury.
The Founder Navdeep Kaur, began her emotive journey with colours through a colour and culture research project at NID Asian Paints Colour lab back in 2007. Instinctive calling and hands on experience on various research & strategy projects, equipped her with a wholesome understanding of conceptual colour applications in the industry.
Journey of TCW began with an aim to dwell into colour research, experiments and teachings that bridge gaps between cross industry learning and unveils one platform for people to envisage how Indian colour ecology is deeply connected despite diversity in consumer desires and design applications.
