Green

Green is a symbol that resonates with the land. A revolution for growth and regeneration.

Green is a splash of colour that compliments it’s surrounding in the presence of all the shades and tones it bears. It’s a humble compliment to the sky above and the water below. Green never shies away, it’s a colour that can empower but can also step aside for others to shine.

Egyptian dyers were the first to develop green in their fabrics. They managed to superimpose a yellow saffron dye to create pigments of green. Egyptian artists created green in their paintings with malachite. In the east, green was created with a mix in indigo. Turmeric and jasmine were used mainly to create different tones.

Green had a long run with miniature artists across India and the middle east. Tones of sea green grew to be a popular colour in the choice of fabrics.Green has been omni present through all the vivid cultures. Each of the symbolizing it with a deeper meaning.
